REMEDIATION HYDRAULICS
Remediation Hydraulics (2008) by Fred Payne, Joseph A Quinnan and Scott T. Potter is quite a good reference (or textbook) for working professionals in the remediation field. The problem has always been to be able to assess the variabilities in the subsurface, and this book comes as close as any book to describe the problems associated with remediation in heterogeneous sediments or rocks.
Many of the concepts and diagrams were developed from field examples and the book contains a large number of case studies from the ARCADIS files (CRC Press, 408 pp).
